Can this be true?

The Philippines was a hospitable host on the event in 1974, 1994, and hopefully in 2014.

The first 2 pageants were held at the prestigious Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Manila.

The third, still for confirmation, is set to be staged in the modern Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) in Cebu with pre-pageant events will be held in nearby tourist destinations.

This is definitely a good news to our booming Tourism and Hospitality industry which employs thousands of Filipinos among the thousand islands of the Philippines.

Lucky Charming

Last Saturday, Kapamilya Deal or No Deal started its new season with its new host, Luis Manzano.

Though I must admit that I miss Kris Aquino and her Pepsi Herrera gowns. I am hoping Luis would wear Francis Libiran suits.

May I suggest that instead of banker senior that replaced the banker, it should be a lady banker. Everytime there would be a tension in the game, they will play Beyonce's "Run the world"!

The first celebrity player was Carmina Villaroel. She is one of few people who screams a lot that I like.

2 weeks ago, I also registered via text for a chance to become a studio contestant.

Definitely, I would scream a lot if would get a chance to play in the game show loved and missed by the Filipino viewers.

Today, I was invited to guest in a local radio program, "A View from the Professionals" hosted by a fellow LNU-ILS alumnus, Dr. Roy Espina and seasoned broadcaster, Mano Babay.

I was with Dalman Mendoza, an educator and Marian band trainer of St. Mary's Academy in Palo.

As for me, I was asked about my professional life which is multi-faceted.

I just made it short because of time limitation and the program was interrupted for the live update on the funeral of the late Leyte Governor, Benjamin "Kokoy" Romualdez.

Nevertheless, I would just have the more comprehensive history of my professional life here.

I am a registered nurse since 2005 and I already worked in medical centers here in Leyte, Cebu, and Manila.

I was also a Clinical Instructor for my alma mater, Saint Scholastica's College of Tacloban.

The matter of fact that opportunity for nurses in the Philippines is limited. While waiting and in between my nursing profession, I was also employed in several call centers in Cebu, Manila and here in Leyte.

I also discussed being a nurse entrepreneur which currently my profession.

My family has several business namely:

My parents had the Robin Rose Enterprises which is a catering equipment rentals and services until 2010  when they migrated to US. Before that, we had the Rosbin Enterprises which is a LPG retailer business.

My uncle have the JanGen Enterprises which is a retail and wholesale distributor business as well as the JanGen Refrigation and Repair.

Another uncle has the Federal Surplus which is a auto-parts surplus business in downtown Tacloban and another uncle has the same business in Palo.

I am starting on my own, the 247 Company which is a gown rentals business. The gowns are from the US that caters to the sophistication fashion need of local customers.

I am already designing gowns out of old curtains and linens when I was in high school I am hoping to make a label in the fashion industry someday.

Thank you to Dr. Roy Espina and Mano Babay for the rare opportunity to share my views as a professional and as a nurse entrepreneur.

I am so sick of the leading pancit canton brand that I do not feel I am not so lucky anymore.

I tried another brand from Payless, which is Pancit Shanghai.

I am a Kimerald fan however I did not buy it the first time since I was loyal to Lucky Me then.

Pancit Shanghai has flat noodles making it more firm and to savor the flavor more.

It comes in 5 unique flavors, Beef Hofan with Calamansi, Sweet and Spicy Barbeque, Chili Beef, Oriental, and my favorite, Patatim.

On the night before her engagement party, Angeli suddenly disappeared and was rumored to be back in Milan. Winston also went away to Macau to soul search after knowing that his real mother was their nanny, Gudang. He never returned alive after a vehicular accident six months after.


Returning for the funeral of her estranged brother, Eve as she wanted to be called now, rekindled her romance with Philip and pushed through with their engagement.


On the night before her wedding, Eve was haunted by her past. Standing on the porch of her bedroom infront of her is her own mirror image screaming, "You can never ever replace me! You can never win, Winston!"
